Beta Pi Blog, Vol.2010, No.05 - J. Neal, International Rock'n Roller

Beta Pi:

IS BETA PI BLOG WITHOUT ANY REDEEMING SOCIAL OR ARTISTIC MERIT?:

YEA . . . .

NAY, or

WHO DAT?

Beta Pi Blog exists for one reason: to bring ATO, Beta Pi Chapter Brothers together. The blog does not take itself very seriously - it is meant for fun, and therefore is non-political. It includes

pictures, links,

Archives of previous issues, and other time-wasters. To get there, go to web address: http://beta-pi-blog.blogspot.com .

Well, those of you who know me know that in addition to being Mims Hall mates, ATO

J.Neal Crenshaw and I shared an apartment on Acklen Avenue the summer between

Sophomore and

Junior year, and are close friends. And you probably also know that

J. Neal lives in Thailand, which makes Beta Pi Blog truly international.  Very cool, no?  Which brings us to .  .  .

FROM THE MYSTERIOUS LOVE-MAN:

Larry--

I was thinking the other day about your blog and what would be a good topic for future blogging. Why not ask the Beta Pi brothers what was their favorite music from the early '70's????? For me, it was anything from The Allman Brothers Band. I remember my Junior year when I lived with Ray Glotzbach in the house, and he would listen to Rhythm and Blues for hours--The Spinners, The Main Ingredient, etc. Thought it might be a good blog topic. BTW, can I still vote for Rena Dabney????

Tom L.

Although voting for Rena is extremely tempting,

since she is such a lovely and delightful member of this Blog,

I vote for J. Neal. Very cool. Thanks for the music Neal. We will attempt to insert the link in the Blog.

Rock on, Brother.

LOOK ALIKES REVISITED.

Some of you will recall, we had a bit of fun with various look-a-likes. See Archives, Beta Pi Blog, Vol.2008, No.11 - Tick-a-lo Look-a-like Contest (February, 2008).

Well, I may have found a look-a-like that tops the all-time greats,

YOSEMITE SAM a.k.a. Doug Campbell,

  MARTY, a.k.a. Frank Collins,

LURCH, a.k.a. Mark Hektner,

MARLON, a.k.a. Mark McGann,

M-LINK a.k.a. George Foreman,

even TED-ZILLA a.k.a. FI-FI, a.k.a. Ted Stephany. Turns out that Ted has topped even himself, justifying awarding Ted yet another a new nick-name.

Behold . . . scientists have discovered an ancient Eskimo Man, said to be the oldest known hominid, whom they have named INUK, and have recreated an image of this pre-historic man from clues obtained from an ancient lock of Inuk’s hair that had been frozen for ages. This is no joke. True science, true story.

Behold . . .Beta Pi Blog gives you .  .  . INUK!

Now tell me if INUK does not resemble FI-FI, a.k.a. Ted Stephany?

You be the judge! (Drum-roll please, Maestro!)

Your Blog Editorial Staff has a decision . . ., the Blog hereby dubs Ted Stephany

INUK-DUH-FI-FI!

YEAH!! If anyone asks who INUK is . . . duh, its FI-FI!
