So, as
you can imagine, Ann and I are glued to our TV set for coverage of the 2014
College Baseball World Series. Our
Commodores advanced to the finals, up against UVA for the best two out of three
games, and last night Vandy beat UVA 9-8 to win Game One! We could hardly believe it . . . I am
swapping Facebook blurbs with
Matt Blankenship,
Frank Collins,
and Bob Smoot . . . big fun!
Today,
I get this incredible e-mail from
TOM “LOVEMAN” LOVINGGOOD . . .

Why haven't you
lit up the Internet? Vandy is playing for the college World Series in
Omaha this week and we won the first game last night. If we do win, it
will be the first NCAA title that Vandy has ever won. Go 'Dores!”

watching the Dores! I have been covered up lately - and I depend on Buck
for sports-related writing, and he hasn't uttered a word.

Baseball Glory. Hey, idea, if you are even a little bit knowledgeable
about baseball, fire off a few paragraphs, e-mail it to me, and we'll call it

Brother--well, the 'Dores were unseeded and got into the finals
by beating Texas in 10 innings with an infield
hit. Tyler Campbell got the hit. The regular third
baseman for the ‘Dores could not play due to some type of team
violation. So, Campbell got to play and
hit the game winner against Texas. VU advanced to the finals for a best
two out of three match up with UVA. Game
One was last night, Vandy won 9-8 !! BAM!! And Campbell got two hits in last night's
victory, as well. Virginia was seeded #3 and they beat Ole Miss to get
into the finals. Game One was kind of a sloppy game – except for the
awesome third inning - but we still got the "W". We play again
tonight at 7:00 CST—it is being telecast on ESPN. If Vandy wins, it will
be the first NCAA victory - the first national title for a Vanderbilt Men’s
team - we have ever had. See the

ACTIVE CHAPTER UPDATE:
Still on . . . DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION . . . No new
communications from Active Kevin “The Troll” Groll. The House still appears vacant from the
street. We have high hopes that when
Homecoming rolls around in October, there will be a “Humanoid” presence at the
ATO House. Meanwhile, I personally am
continuing my pledge to not give Vanderbilt another dime, after how they
treated us.
