TRAVIS PARR ONCE COMPARED A WOMAN TO MEAT, AND WE LOVED IT! Beta Pi Blog prides itself on being in touch with the throbbing pulse of daily news. Today’s big story is:
MUSLIM SHEIK COMPARES WOMEN TO MEAT
Click on the link to the story and news video, it is hilarious! The Sheik is a most poetic fellow, who has Australia in a cultural uproar. Here is his infamous quote:
"If you take out uncovered meat,
and place it outside in the street,
or in the garden, or in the park,
or in the backyard without a cover,
and the cats come and eat it . . .
Whose fault is it, the cats’ or the uncovered meat?
The uncovered meat is the problem."
Sheik Al Halahli, Australia
Watching the video clip, it hit me: our own Venerable Travis Parr parrfamco@aol.com was the first on Beta Pi Planet - right or wrong - to notice the poetic metaphoric similarity between the fairer sex and certain fine cuts of, shall we say steak tar tar. Check out the link on this site to some fairly righteous history of Attila the Hun’s love of steak tar tar.
Travis, Beta Pi Blog salutes you for your poetic saute. Bravo, old friend! In your honor, I’m posting a photo of your (and our) Beta Pi Sweetheart, the exquisite Rena Ann Dabney! Ah, the finer memories!

From History of Steak Tartar and Attila the Hun:
"Attila's men ate raw lean meat cuts which being placed under their saddles were tenderized for as long as a day's ride. At meal time they added spices to their tender raw meat. . ."
EDITORIAL NOTE: Giving more thought to the Sheik's analogy to cats . . . I recall that Frank Biller had a certain obsession with a coed named Junie Borg . . . CATWOMAN! Her picture is posted in Frank's honor.
EDITORIAL COMMENTS OUT-OF-CONTROL! The Bill Whalen, Lunch Meat connection is poetry in motion!
