Today, I received sad news from Ted’s sister Pamela:

Dear Larry: I am Ted's sister. I am sad to report that
Ted Stephany died on January 20th from lymphoma. If you would please

TO PAMELA STEPHANY:
Pamela, thank you so much for reaching out to us. On behalf
of the ATO’s let me express our deepest condolences for your loss. Ted
was a friend, and a favorite and true fraternity brother, we will miss
him. I tried to keep up with Ted, and
spoke with him a few times in recent years, but had no idea he was ill.
Ted was a man of few words, very private. Thank you for letting us know,
and God bless you and your family.

I remember Ted always had a wry smile, like he knew a riddle that no
one could solve, or like he a practical joke ready to spring on you. Always a gentleman. He was taller than most of us. Ted was a Sophomore when I was a Senior, he
had a quick wit – and in our group, if you did not have a quick wit you did not
survive.
Ted was close with many of our guys, but perhaps closest to Hill
Turner and George Ford.
